Arla Fonden has developed a Home Economics learning package as part of the Arla Food Movers initiative.
Designed for students aged 11–15, the materials support practical food literacy learning through cooking, reflection, discussion, and hands-on activities in the teaching kitchen.
The package is distributed to participating schools across Denmark at the beginning of each school year.
Since 2017, Arla Food Movers has engaged young people across Denmark through learning materials and activities focused on food, health, sustainability, and everyday choices.
Since 2025, Arla Fonden’s Home Economics package has expanded the programme by bringing the same themes into teaching kitchens across the country.
During the 2026/27 school year, more than 27,000 Danish students will receive the Home Economics package.

Arla Food Movers is an interdisciplinary learning programme developed by Arla Foods. Using food as a starting point, the materials explore topics such as health, wellbeing, sustainability, consumer awareness, and everyday choices across a range of school subjects.
Designed to be flexible, the materials can be used within individual subjects or as part of larger interdisciplinary learning programmes.
Since 2025, Arla Food Movers has included Arla Fonden’s Home Economics package. Together, the materials enable students to explore the same themes both in the classroom and through practical cooking experiences in the teaching kitchen.
