Arla Fonden is a Danish foundation – helping shape food literacy in Denmark through learning, knowledge, and partnerships since 2012.

Learning Activities

We develop learning activities for children and young people that support food literacy and sustainable food habits. Centered around food as a meaningful experience, our activities bring learning, community, and active participation together for both families and schools.

Insights

Arla Fonden generates and shares knowledge about food literacy for children and young people. Through our annual Children, Youth and Food report, Children’s Voice, and systematic evaluations, we bring children’s perspectives into the conversation and help strengthen knowledge about food, cooking, and sustainable food habits.

A glimpse into our activities

"Working with children's food habits and their joy for cooking is extremely important. That's why we all have to contribute where we can."

44%

of children in Denmark would like to cook more often than they do today.
